I try to provide a WIN-WIN situation for my students.  Piano lessons are divided into into three equal segments:

1.Exercises - scales, technique, theory, sight reading, ear training and/or use of the metronome

2.Lesson Book -depends on the level of the student and may be discussed further

3.Repertoire aka “Fun Book” – classical, rock, blues, jazz, theater, or any other style of music to learn

The piano lessons are conducted using this outline.  The students are encouraged to use the outline during the week to practice.
